There are several benefits to choosing a media service over a traditional one. This service allows you to control the quality of your media, manage latency and bandwidth costs, and access your content from any location. It’s important to have a plan to address your specific needs, and Intelsat’s Managed Media Services provides a turnkey solution for all your distribution needs. Learn how you can benefit from these services today. Here are some examples of media services to consider.
A media service account is an account that gives you access to Azure cloud-media services. A media service account stores metadata on media files and does not store the actual media content. If you need to store your media files on the Cloud, you’ll need to create a storage account as well. You can either associate an existing storage account with a media service account or create a new one. Note that when you delete a media service account, the content in the storage account will remain on the Azure cloud.
Media Services also provides equipment for rent. Most classrooms are equipped with “Techwall” systems with HP computers, Oppo Blu-ray and VHS players, Wolfvision Document cameras and VGA/HDMI auxiliary laptop cables. Walk-ins are also welcome, but you should use the online form to reserve equipment. You can call the Tech Support phone number located at the podiums and near teaching stations for questions. Depending on the type of equipment you need, Media Services has different categories of equipment to suit your needs.
